Stewart Alec Weatherley Wright 〔''Births, Marriages & Deaths Index of England & Wales, 1916–2005.''; at ancestry.com〕 (born 12 January 1974) is an English actor. After his breakthrough playing Nick Levick in award winning mockumentary series ''People Like Us'' (1999) he has enjoyed a range of leading and character roles in many productions across theatre, film and television. He took a break from acting in 2006 to focus on developing his own work. This experimental period included a critically acclaimed collaboration with Will Adamsdale to create a series for BBC Radio 4, among other successful projects. He returned to acting in 2009 through productions at Bristol Old Vic and was back on our screens starring alongside Alison Steadman in ITV's ''Love and Marriage'' in 2013. He now combines his acting career with his own self generated projects. ==Early life==
Wright was born in Hammersmith, London, in 1974 the son of two doctors. He attended Wellington College in Berkshire in the early 1990s where his passion for rugby led to his captaining the Ist XV and being a non-travelling reserve for the England U18s. An injury encouraged him to focus on his other passion and he secured a place at the Central School of Speech and Drama, where he completed a BA in acting in 1996.
